Four Looks You Can Create Using Mystikol Eyeliner
We love a truly versatile beauty product - especially one that won’t irritate the sensitive eye area no matter how you use it! The jane iredale Mystikol Powdered Eyeliners are a favourite amongst beauty lovers not just for their sleek packaging, but for how many looks you can create using them. The gel to powder formula lends itself to everything from a precise, razor sharp wing to a smoked out rock ‘n’ roll eye, so we’ve put together four unique eye looks that can all be created using one Mystikol.
The Winged Eye
For this look, we like to use a jane iredale Bent Liner Brush for a really precise line. Our tip? Dampen the makeup brush with your favourite jane iredale Hydration Spray before dipping it in the liner to give the product a bit more slip and to keep it in place all day! Gently drag the brush through your Mystikol pot, then sweep it along your upper lash line working from the inner corner out. If you’re a winged liner rookie, don’t be afraid to use some gentle tape as a guide - even the pros use this trick! Finish off your look by coating your top lashes in PureLash Lengthening Mascara in Jet Black, and keeping your lower lashes bare to add to the drama of the wing.
The Smudged Eye
This look is incredibly easy and will give you that effortlessly-cool, slightly worn-in French girl look that we’ve been seeing everywhere lately. Using the Mystikol brush found in the lid of the product, simply drag the liner along both your upper and lower lash lines. Allow it to dry down to a powder then smudge - you can gently use your finger, but we find this look works best if you use the Mystikol brush to brush back and forth over the line until you get the desired look.
The Classic Mystikol Eye
This is the perfect eye makeup for those who prefer a more muted look or are transitioning from desk to drinks - plus you can recreate it on the go. Use either your finger or the Mystikol brush to apply the product to your eyelid, staying below the crease, as you would a regular eyeshadow. Use your finger to blend the product out, giving your eyelid a sheer wash of colour that you can build up and layer upon as you like. This looks great on its own, but it also works beautifully as a base for a smokey eye look. Limiting the product to the eyelid and upper lash line keeps this look daytime appropriate while still drawing attention to those beautiful peepers!
The Smokey Eye
There’s almost nothing sexier than a sultry, smokey eye! To create this look, begin by creating the Classic Mystikol Eye we worked through above. Use your jane iredale Sculpting Brush to build up the colour, creating a gradient from the crease of your eyelid down to your lash line (the colour should be at its most opaque at the lash line). Use our aforementioned Smudged Eye trick to line the lower lashes, then use the Bent Liner Brush to line your lower waterline. Lining the waterline may seem a bit intimidating to those who are new to eye makeup, however the beauty of jane iredale products is that they don’t irritate sensitive eyes! Complete your look by priming your lashes with our PureLash Extender and Conditioner, then coating them in the PureLash Lengthening Mascara in Jet Black. View our application video below.
