Why We Wash
- Unwashed makeip brushes can collect and grow bacteria.
- Bacteria can easily transfer to skin and makeup products.
- Product buildup can negatively impact brush performance.
When To Wash
- Sanitise professional brushes between clients.
- Wash professional brushes daily
- Wash personal brushes every week.
Wet, Don't Submerge: Submerging brushes in liquid, especially alcohol-based cleansers, can weaken the glue in the ferrule that holds the bristles.
Gently Scrub: Avoid hard scrubbing and use gentle circular or back-and-forth motions when cleansing your brushes to avoid damaging the fibres.
Lay Flat To Dry: When a wet brush is standing, water can travel into the ferrule and weaken the glue that holds the bristles in pace. Always lay flat to dry.
