jane iredale Presents this Season’s Makeup Must-haves

Spring has finally sprung and to celebrate the arrival of this wonderful season we have compiled some of the hottest trends to get you ready to rock the warmer months.

With the warmer weather and increased social activities, Spring is the perfect time to celebrate your fun side, with bold shades, defined liner and brighter skin. Here we have some makeup looks to share to ensure you’re living in full bloom this Spring…

A copper smoky eye is definitely on-trend; this is easy to achieve with jane iredale’s‘Golden Girl’ PurePressed^® Eye Shadow Trio, which includes three shimmery golden tones in a light, medium and dark shade.

For a dramatic eye, begin with the darkest colour; apply it in a sideways V using our Eye Contour Brush. Next, highlight above the Iris with the medium shade. Finish by highlighting the brow bone with the lightest shade. Now blend well with a clean brush.

Whether you like your lines smudgy or clean, beautifully defined eyes are hot this season. Our inky Jelly Jar Gel Eyeliners are super soft and creamy, packed with rich colour and they glide on beautifully for long lasting wear. They come in either a black or a shimmery brown and soon a few more fun shades. To take your golden smoky eye to new heights, trace very close to the upper lash line using the Angle Liner/Brow Brush and Black Jelly Jar Gel Eyeliner.

Work from the outer corner, about 3/4 of the way in. Get it right into the lash line. Then reverse direction and thicken the line, winging it as you go out. How you do it is entirely up to you: you can keep it fairly thin, or cover most of the lid if you like. You can flick your cat eye way up for that classic ‘Mad Men’ look, or simply angle it pretty much straight out to the side, just a little bit past your outer corner for a more subtle look.

For the lips, apparently orange is not only the new black, but also the new red. Bright orange lips are everywhere!
