Milan Fashion Week Beauty: Versace

Milan Fashion Week’s Versace show was a tribute to the 90’s grunge era. With a distinctly rocker chick slash glam punk edge, most of us here at jane iredale Australia HQ couldn’t really see ourselves wearing the vinyl ensembles featured on the runway any time soon, however we did love the makeup.

Reminiscent of the 90’s, eyes were distinctly lined with black liner on the top and bottom. Skin was dewy with light natural looking makeup, and lips were coated with a clear gloss.

If you want to take a step back in time to the 90’s and recreate the Versace Fashion Week Beauty look, this is what we recommend you use…

Eyes: Using the Eye Shader Brush, apply the jane iredale PurePressed Eyeshadow in Rose Gold over the entire lid. Then line the top and bottom lash line with the jane iredale Basic Black Eyeliner Pencil. Finish with Longest Lash Thickening & Lengthening Mascara on the top and bottom lashes.

To achieve the 90’s waif style sunken in cheekbone look, use the darker shades of the Award winning Moonglow Quad Bronzer to contour the cheeks. The trick to this is to suck in your cheeks like a fish and apply the bronzer right under your cheekbones. You can then use the lighter shades of the quad bronzer on the actual cheek bones to highlight. Lastly, use the Blending Brush to blend.

For the lips, clear gloss was a big trend in the 90’s. Apply the PureGloss™ for Lips in Just Gloss.
