We caught up with Ann-Marie Nolan, Clinician and Makeup Artist at Rejuvenation Clinics of Australia  - the largest cosmetic clinic in the southern hemisphere and jane iredale stockist.

Can you tell us about the clinic and the types of services offered…

What is it about jane iredale mineral makeup that your clients love most?

We’ve had the range in the clinic for more than a decade and our clientele love that it’s simple and easy to use. The beautiful mineral ingredients means that not only does the makeup offer coverage, but it’s also good for your skin. Another feature our clients love is the high sun protection which is certainly a must-have in the harsh Australian sun.

What is the most popular jane iredale product?

Our star jane iredale product is the PurePressed Base Mineral Foundation. With 24 shades to choose from, it allows every client to have their Mineral Foundation matched perfectly to their skin tone.

What is the one must-have jane iredale product you recommend to all your clients post treatment?

As part of the service here, we provide clients with a complimentary ‘Makeup Cover Up’ after their treatments. The products that we use for cover-up’s, but also recommended to our clients to use post treatment would be the Purepressed Base Mineral Foundation or the Glowtime BB Cream. Both have medium to full coverage with mineral ingredients that help minimise inflammation, irritation and allow the skin to breathe.

What is your personal favourite jane iredale product and why?

My jane iredale go-to product would have to be Dream Tint Tinted Moisturiser. The Dream Tint is also classified as a CC Cream which creates an even-skin tone appearance without the need to wear a heavy, full coverage foundation. It also contains key ingredients that minimise pores, amazing antioxidants and it smells divine!

What’s your Medical Makeup camouflage rule to live by?

Always refer to your colour wheel and basic colour theory when camouflaging.

If you are camouflaging bruising or dark circles, which has a blue undertone; the opposite colour to blue on the colour wheel is orange – the jane iredale Enlighten Concealer is great for this!

How important is it for women to wear a foundation that contains a broad spectrum sunscreen?

It’s vital to be using sunscreen on a daily basis and not just when you’re in direct sunlight. Using foundation that contains Broad Spectrum Sunscreen helps protect skin from UVA and UVB sun exposure.

Broad Spectrum Sunscreen is especially important pre and post laser treatments, as you need to ensure that you’re not sun exposed throughout the time of your treatment or as recommended.
