This eyeshadow is a great color. It applies smoothly and stays in place. The pigment is sufficient to keep the color even, rather than fading during the day., giving a refreshed look.

I have sensitive skin and

I have sensitive skin and usually cannot wear eye shadow. I buy it and then return it to the store a few days later. But not with Jane Iredale…. I love that I can make up my eyes again. This color is lovely and goes in easily. I’m definitely buying more single eye shadows to wear. Thanks for making a great product.

Cream to powder shadow

I love the revamped eye shadow. It's much creamier, long lasting, & crease free on my aging eyes. My only disappointment is that they haven't transitioned all the shades into the new formula.

Supernova & Jewel

I recently purchased the shades Supernova and Jewel as a lid color, use French Vanilla as an all over color and use a different darker shadow in the crease. I really like the 3 JI shades I own. French Vanilla is a good base color for light skin, and Supernova and Jewel add some color to the lid without being too dark. I'm very happy with these shadows...they're very pretty!

High quality

I was trying to replace a shade that's been discontinued (Champagne), and this color is not an exact match, but like all the JI products it has wonderful ingredients and high-quality manufacturing. Goes on very smoothly and stays on well, without much wrinkling.

Eye Shadow singles French Vanilla

I love the new Jane Iredale Eye Shadow singles. The French Vanilla is a great neutral to wear alone or as a base color. I have olive skin tone and wasn't sure if the color would work,but it is perfect for me. I have used the Oyster also and the French Vanilla is great for everyday. The shadow goes on smooth and stays all day.

French Vanilla

I recently decided to replace my talc makeup products with non-talc makeup. I ordered this eye shadow in French Vanilla to replace the Clinique French Vanilla single eye shadow shade I have used for years as my all-over base eye shadow. I am so glad I ordered it. It goes on just as beautifully while being a healthier option for my skin!

Pigmented, stays on all day, NO TALC!
It may feel a bit powdery but it’s not chalky, it’s airy so be gentle when using the brush. I suggest you dab the eyeshadow brush gently. Trust that a little can go a long way and you can build on how pigmented you want it to be.

Which eyeshadow has less yellow in it, BONE or FRENCH VANILLA?

I have light to medium skin, brown with a golden undertone. Brown eyes and medium golden brown hair and wear the pressed powder foundation in Amber. Which color of the new single eyeshadow colors would compliment my eye and complexion color?

Between the matt BONE and VANILLA single eyeshadows, which has less yellow in it?

Why do you have only beige to brown single eye shadow colours?

I have used 'Merlot' as a single colour and as part of the eye shadow kit with a pink and 'Allure'.
I have used the Triple colours which are very powdery and spill into the other colours in the palette.
Brown eye shadows don't suit everyone.

Hi Rosemary, thank you so much for your feedback it is greatly appreciated. Our eye shadows are highly pigmented and finely milled hence you only need a light hand when dipping into them. For colours that aren't just brown we do have quite a few options we think you would enjoy. For some purple and pink tones check out Ravishing Trio or our Storm Chaser Eyeshadow Kit. For blue try Blue Hour Trio. And find green tones in the Harmony Trio, just to name a few.
