A question we get asked frequently is ‘Do you have cruelty-free makeup and beauty products?’ Read on to learn more about jane iredale’s advocacy for cruelty-free manufacturing.

Our Commitment to Cruelty-Free Makeup and Beauty

A commitment to no animal testing has always been at the core of the jane iredale brand.  We do not test our products on animals, use ingredients tested on animals or sell into markets that require animal testing, yes, jane iredale is not sold in China.

Certified Cruelty-Free by the Leaping Bunny Program

We are honoured to announce that we have been certified cruelty-free by the Coalition for Consumer Information on Cosmetics’ (CCIC) Leaping Bunny Program, the leading internationally respected animal protection group for cruelty-free certification. CCIC’s Leaping Bunny Program recognises and supports companies that are doing their part to help eliminate the cruel and unnecessary use of animals in the testing of cosmetic products and ingredients, and do not allow third-party testing on animals for product registration purposes. This certification can be recognised internationally by The Leaping Bunny Logo which is highly regarded for its integrity and trustworthiness.

The Leaping Bunny Program offers the most up-to-date list of companies that have committed to no new animal testing throughout their manufacturing process, from ingredients to finished products, and do not allow third party testing on animals for product registration or other purposes in countries like China where animal testing is required. By listing these companies in their Compassionate Shopping Guide and granting these companies the option to use the Leaping Bunny Logo on their products, it aims to promote the sale of animal-friendly products and make shopping for animal-friendly products easier and more trustworthy.

PETA Recognition

As you may already know, our no animal testing commitment has also been recognised by PETA, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, the most widely recognised animal welfare organisation in the U.S. In 2005 jane iredale was certified by PETA as “cruelty-free”, and we are licensed to use the PETA Cruelty Free bunny logo. We have been and will continue to be listed in PETA’s Cruelty-Free Shopping Guide which can be viewed at www.caringconsumer.com, and our longstanding relationship with PETA will not change.

As you can imagine, we are extremely proud of this international certification, and we know that this is something that you truly value, too.
