First-time wearers commonly apply too much product because they are used to applying makeup that has large amounts of filler and not a lot of “pay-off.” With our minerals, less is more.
Choosing the right mineral foundation
Each Jane Iredale foundation is full of botanical ingredients that work to improve the appearance of your skin behind the scenes, as well as other skin-loving ingredients that help to create that signature healthy glow. We formulate without skin irritants while maintaining superior performance and complete robust testing to ensure our formulas are safe and effective for even the most sensitive skin.
The reason our powders work so well as natural-looking makeup and/or camouflage is because the concentrated pigment masks colour but also reflects and refracts light. This results in a soft-focus effect.
There are six mineral foundations to choose from, from powders to liquid and cream, which could all work well for you, depending on your desired foundation finish.
Amazing Base Loose Mineral Powder SPF 20
Amazing Base is the very first mineral powder that Jane developed in 1994 after searching for a makeup line that would nurture the skin (not irritate it) and allow people to feel good about wearing it.
Amazing Base is a luminous foundation that offers sheer to full coverage. It is suitable for all skin types but great for dry skin as it adds a layer of luminosity to the skin. Amazing Base is a powder foundation that can be used to conceal and has SPF 20 for added sun protection. The formula is oil-free and weightless and doesn’t feel like you are wearing makeup at all.
Key ingredients: Zinc Oxide, Titanium Dioxide, Pomegranate Extract & Extracts of Sea Minerals.
PurePressed Base Mineral Foundation SPF 20
PurePressed Base is a convenient to use pressed mineral powder that provides a semi-matte finish. Coverage can be sheer to full depending on how it is applied – use The Handi Brush for a sheer to medium coverage, or the Flocked Sponge for full coverage. Being a semi-matte foundation, if you have oily skin the PurePressed Base may be perfect for you.

The creamy texture applies easily to the skin and blends seamlessly without a cakey look or feel. As with all jane iredale products this mineral foundation is free from talc and other bulking agents that may cause irritations and clog pores.

Glow Time Pro™ BB Cream SPF 25
Glow Time is a radiant satin cream-based mineral BB foundation that provides a healthy-looking medium to full coverage finish. What’s more, a little goes a long way! If you’d prefer sheer coverage, our tip is to mix Glow Time with Smooth Affair Primer. This foundation is super easy to apply – use your fingers or a Blending/Contouring Brush. For a more matte finish, apply PurePressed Base over the top.
This mineral-based formula works to nourish your skin and help brighten the appearance of your complexion using skin-loving ingredients with skincare benefits. It helps to minimise the appearance of pores and helps to disguise fine lines and wrinkles.
HydroPure™ Tinted Serum with Hyaluronic Acid & CoQ10

HydroPure™ Tinted Serum is an ultra-hydrating tinted serum with Hyaluronic Acid that helps plump, soothe, blur lines and even skin tone with sheer coverage for a dewy, youthful look. HydroPure ™ Tinted Serum can be applied with your fingers, applying directly to your face and neck. We recommend dispensing 1-2 pumps on your fingers, ensuring to combine the pigment and serum by mixing between your fingertips, to activate the ingredients. Pair with a broad spectrum SPF. For additional coverage, top with your favourite foundation.
Key ingredients: Hyaluronic Acid, Coenzyme Q10, Sorbitan Olivate, Shea butter, Allantoin & Beeswax.
Beyond Matte Liquid Foundation
Beyond Matte is a multitasking primer, concealer, and foundation in one that helps to minimise the appearance of pores, smooth the appearance of uneven texture, and helps to reduce shine due to the propriety blend of Celery Seed Extract, Linseed Extract, and Peptides. Beyond Matte is buildable, achieving the coverage you prefer. Apply with a Foundation Brush for sheer coverage or the Blending/Contouring Brush to build to a medium to full coverage.
Beyond Matte Liquid Foundation is suitable for all skin types but due to its semi-matte finish, it’s especially good for oily skin. The 18 shades are self-adjusting and housed in a recyclable glass pump bottle. As with all Jane Iredale mineral foundations, it is formulated with skin-nourishing, plant-based ingredients.

Dream Tint Tinted Moisturiser SPF 15 (Oil-Free)
Dream Tint is a lightweight moisturising foundation that helps to hydrate the skin as well as provide sheer coverage and SPF 15 sun protection. Like all Jane Iredale foundations, Dream Tint includes nourishing ingredients that your skin will love. Dream Tint is also oil-free, so suitable if you have oily skin but prefer to use a liquid foundation. Apply it with your fingers like any other moisturiser for a soft-focus sheer finish, or the Blending Brush for medium coverage.
This tinted moisturiser helps to even out skin tone and is perfect for anyone looking for a lightweight formula with a quick and easy application. It also works well as a primer before applying other foundations.
